KUALA LUMPUR - Manipal Hospitals is investing RM140mil to build a 220-bed tertiary-care hospital in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang, which set to open in the first half of 2015.
It said in a statement this was the first major investment in Malaysia’s healthcare sector by the Manipal Group, a global multinational group and an established healthcare provider in India.
Managing director and CEO of Manipal Hospitals, Asean region, Ramkumar Akella said the robust healthcare industry and the growth potential made Malaysia the compelling choice of location for Manipal Hospitals expansion outside India.
