Hong Kong fosters research and innovation on AI-driven computational imaging

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) has signed a cooperation settlement with Guangdong OPPO Mobile Telecommunications Corp. (OPPO) for the institution of the PolyU-OPPO Joint Innovation Lab. The laboratory will give attention to joint analysis initiatives together with synthetic clever (AI)-driven computational imaging and its chipisation, laptop imaginative and prescient, immersive multimedia and AR/VR know-how.

The utility of AI-driven computational imaging is large within the healthcare sector throughout the globe.

OPPO's goals are to supply complete funding of at least RMB 10 million to help PolyU analysis and innovation initiatives and the institution and operation of the Joint Lab.

PolyU and OPPO will use the Joint Lab as a platform for tutorial change and joint science and engineering analysis initiatives, sharing these analysis outcomes and nurturing extremely expert abilities collectively. The lab will probably be a number one drive in catalysing academia-industry cooperation and innovation know-how improvement within the Greater Bay Area.
