KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 1): Transport system solutions player EVD Bhd, which had in July assumed the listing status of iDimension Consolidated Bhd upon completion of the latter's regularisation plan, is venturing into the distribution of medical equipment.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Tuesday (Nov 1), EVD said its wholly-owned subsidiary EV-Dynamic Sdn Bhd has entered into a distribution agreement with China’s Neusoft Medical Systems Co Ltd, appointing EV-Dynamic as the exclusive distributor to purchase the medical equipment from Neusoft for the purpose of resale to end-users in Malaysia.

Neusoft is a manufacturer of computed tomography devices, ultrasound diagnostic devices and X-ray imaging devices.

EVD said the term of this agreement is for three years.

“This agreement is expected to contribute positively towards the future earnings of EVD from the financial years ending Dec 31, 2023 onwards,” it added.

EVD shares closed unchanged at 20 sen on Tuesday, bringing the company a market capitalisation of RM81.27 million.
