CalMed's second generation Vessel Cannula is indicated for use in the delivery of cardioplegia solution during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery, or to help check for leaks in a harvested vein, which will be used for a graft. The cannula's sleek, lower profile design has been revamped with a more flexible, tapered, polyvinyl chloride tube with atraumatically designed distal tips. The improved distal tip features a double barbed design to accommodate vessels of various diameters and is available with a blunt or beveled tip. The proximal luer connection is designed to securely connect with a standard Cardioplegia delivery line. The Vessel Cannula is available with or without a check valve.
