The following test was conducted in Japan by an independent laboratory:
1.filled 200 liters of tab water into a large tub
2.beer was added to the water to enhance contamination
3.Legionella bacteria and other waterborne bacteria were then added
4.the mixture was kept at a constant temperature of 40o C
5.mixture was pumped through the Xeralife Water Decontaminator System
6.samples were taken after every pass and bacterial content was measured
