Novo Nordisk just announced that the FDA has cleared its NovoPen Echo insulin injection device, the only one available in the U.S. that’s able to deliver half-unit doses of insulin. This is particularly useful for diabetic children with a lower insulin requirement, and the digital readout that displays the time of the previous injection allows parents to check whether their kids are administering insulin when necessary.
Here’s a video demonstrating the use of the NovoPen Echo:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4btJGwYhLGE
