Alicona offers an advanced optical 3D micro coordinate system, InfiniteFocus, which is specifically designed for measuring form and roughness across large measurement areas and volumes. The system is based on Focus-Variation, an area based technology that integrates micro coordinate measurement technology and traditional surface metrology.

The InfiniteFocus offers traceable and repeatable results and also provides exact, high-resolution measurement results of different textures and components with small angles and radii. Measurements acquire a vertical resolution of about 10 nm. Even steep flanks of 85° are measured with high vertical resolution. In addition, each measurement comes with color information registered to the 3D data.
