APERTO MRI

APERTO is the new solution for 21st-century MRI scanning. The unique, single-pillar design makes it the only available panoramic open MRI scanner in the world. Incorporating the strongest open permanent magnet, with a field strength of 0.4 Tesla, is fundamental to its performance. APERTO provides high-field quality at the cost of a permanent system.

The development of APERTO’s high-end magnet technology, with Hitachi’s leading MRI expertise, has resulted in a best-of-breed open system. Designed to cover the entire MRI spectrum of scanning applications, its outstanding image quality is well respected throughout the radiology profession.

CLINICAL IMAGES

APERTO Myelo

MIP (Maximum Intensity Projection) of 3D Heavy T2-weighted FSE (Fast Spin Echo) scan with 168 echoes (TR=8000, effective TE=406) and special ADA k-space filling, slice thickness of 2mm, reconstructed every 1mm, high resolution acquisition and reconstruction matrix allow visualisation of nerve roots in lumbar spine with severe stenosis.

APERTO MRCP

MMIP (Maximum Intensity Projection) of 3D Heavy T2-weighted FSE (Fast Spin Echo) scan with 130 echoes and special ADA k-space filling, slice thickness of 3 mm, reconstructed every 1.5 mm, respiratory gating and high resolution acquisition and reconstruction matrix allow detailed visualisation of wide bile duct with 3 stones.

APERTO Pelvis

Sagittal T2-weighted FSE (Fast Spin Echo) scan with DE (Driven Equilibrium) option. DE allows excellent T2 contrast with TR of only 3600ms, short IET (Inter Echo Time) of 15ms minimises motion and breathing artIfacts influence, high resolution acquisition and reconstruction matrix gives detailed depiction of uterus pushed by multi-cystic pathological mass.

APERTO Shoulder

PD-weighted FSE (Fast Spin Echo) coronal scan with TR=3000ms and effective TE=25ms - excellent proton density contrast and high signal/noise ratio together with high resolution acquisition and reconstruction matrix give clear picture of shoulder joint anatomy.

APERTO Wrist

3D GE (Gradient Echo) coronal image of the wrist joint scanned with dedicated QD Wrist coil. Acquisition matrix 512x512, FOV (Field of View) of 11.7cm, slice thickness of 2mm, reconstructed every 1mm allow sub-millimetre resolution needed for depiction of all elements in this small joint - bone, cartilage, ligaments and small calcification.

APERTO Knee

PD-weighted FSE (Fast Spin Echo) coronal scan with TR=3000ms and effective TE=25ms with spectral fat saturation (CHESS) option. Excellent and homogenous fat components saturation, good contrast between bone, cartilage and fluid, high resolution acquisition and reconstruction matrix make the diagnose easy and complete.
