Power at the point of care

The Centricity® Intensive Care is a clinical information system that helps ensure access to patient data at the point of care – or when accessing remotely. Intuitive and integrated, it provides users reference information and documentation templates in clinical settings throughout the intensive care process.

Benefits:

Centricity Perinatal and Centricity Intensive Care integrates information from multiple devices and systems, expanding the depth of clinical information available at the bedside, helping to improve communication among caregivers, streamline workflow, and enhance patient safety needs of your organization. Its scalability will allow you to adapt to increased test volumes, additional sites, new specialties and novel clinical tests.

  • Comprehensive Data Capture- Centricity Perinatal captures comprehensive patient data for the entire nine-month perinatal period, and makes it available where and when it is needed to support safe, effective care.
  • Alerts and Reminders- Integrated alerts and reminders notify clinicians at the bedside of site-specific clinical protocols or pathways, enabling fast response to patient events.
  • Advanced Reporting Capabilities- Clinicians and the organization are able to monitor and improve performance relative to industry and internal benchmarks with the help of advanced reporting capabilities.
  • Mobile and Remote Access- Physicians can respond to a nurse inquiry about the best course of action, or proactively monitor a high-risk case with mobile and remote access.
  • Decision Support- An evidence-based decision-support database helps clinicians adhere to current clinical standards.

Technology:

Centricity Perinatal – Centricity Intensive Care is scalable to accommodate a wide range of users. It is flexible and tailorable to fit site-specific needs, and it is interoperable with GE and non-GE systems and devices.

  • Mother Baby Link- Maternal pregnancy and delivery information from the mother’s chart automatically populates the baby’s medical record.
  • One Time Data Entry- Data documented in one location – directly on the fetal strip, for example – is automatically populated wherever relevant throughout the patient’s record.
  • Interoperability- HL7-based interoperability with other systems enables one-time data entry, helps reduce errors, saves time and streamlines the clinical workflow. Data can be captured automatically from GE Healthcare monitors including Dash®, Solar® and Corometrics®, as well as other non-GE Healthcare devices and equipment.
  • Remote, Web-based Access- OB Link provides secure access to encrypted views of fetal activity and maternal data via a Web-based browser.
  • System Integration- Centricity Perinatal can be installed as a Wide Area Network solution supporting standardized practices and consistent reporting across multiple sites.
