Mr. Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia said: “We are delighted that MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND continue to reaffirm its position as the must-attend event for the medical and health care sector. Trade visitors can expect to see a comprehensive array of manufacturers and suppliers showcasing some of the best technology and innovations for the sectors they represent. This year, we expect the exhibition to attract some 10,000 trade visitors from Thailand and around the region, including several group visits from some of Thailand’s top private hospitals.”

The global footprint of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND continues to expand with this year featuring an impressive list of conferences and seminars by industry thought leaders and subject experts from all over the world. Top of the list includes the multi-disciplinary Advanced Rehabilitation Technology Conference (ARTeC) -conducted over two days, the main theme includes lectures, workshops and discussion forums related to advanced technology and emerging trends in modern rehabilitation medicine. The programme will also feature a two-day seminar on interventional spine care as well as hands-on workshops on musculoskeletal sonography.

The continued success of MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND is attributed to numerous factors including its staging against a dynamic backdrop of a booming medical and health care environment. Healthcare demand in Southeast Asia is increasing rapidly, driven by population growth rates, an ageing population, and more discerning customers looking for quality health care. Thailand’s health care spending is estimated to rise by 8% each year through to 2018 to reach an estimated US$18.7 billion.

Other key growth factors include the growing private health care market, increased demand for quality medical products and services and Thailand’s growing position as one of Asia’s most prominent medical tourism hotspots.  Thailand’s ability to attract medical tourists with its affordability and high quality of service as well as its natural attractions, allows patients to combine medical treatment with a vacation, making Thailand a winning combination.

Admission to MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND is free and is only open to those involved in medical and health care. Trade visitors can register onsite.
