Hospitals are not about the latest medical technologies; they are about people - skilled, committed individuals. The war for skilled talent is a global phenomenon. With Malaysia pushing its way towards 'developed nation status', this war has become even more acute and urgent. Yes, we have added lots of training institutions; yes, we are producing healthcare workers by the hundreds if not thousands each year - but do we have the right skill-sets for our industry? In recognising the critical issues in human capital in the healthcare sector, the Association of Private Hospitals of Malaysia (APHM), is organising this annual conference and exhibition with the theme: “Re-Thinking, Re-Engaging, Retaining Human Capital, Re-Inventing Leadership”.
