On the 11th of March, 2013, idsMED Malaysia held their 1st Annual Healthcare Forum at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur. This one day educational track event serves as a small contribution to Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem. In line with our firm belief in healthcare education, the event obtained CPD points approval for the participants.
In collaboration with our Principals, speakers were brought in to speak on a variety of topics for 4 different tracks: Critical Care, Surgical, Infection Control/Imaging and General. In addition, an interesting Discussion Forum on the Impact of AEC 2015 on Nursing was carried out by representatives from MOH, APHM and Education.
The event kicked off at 7.30am with registration and the 4 different track sessions ran concurrently throughout the day till 5.30pm. At mid-day, the sessions came to halt for a Lunch Talk by Dr Victor Fung on “China & ASEAN: A New Dynamic for Growth” which seated everyone in the Grand Ballroom, after a Welcome Address by Mr Ben Chang, idsMED Group MD.
Before the afternoon sessions, a new line of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation products by ITO Co. Ltd were launched. This launch was officiated by Mr Raymond Chong, Regional MD of idsMED and Mr Toshimasa Sakagami, Director of ITO, who gave a short speech.
With its exciting topics and charismatic speakers that came from all over the world, the Forum captured the attention of many, with a multitude of healthcare institutions sending their representatives. The event was graced by the presence of Deputy Director-General of Health, Dato’ Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai, APHM President, Dato’ Dr Jacob Thomas, members of Khazanah Group’s Management and CEOs/administrators from the various healthcare institutions.
All in all, the event saw about 500 participants from 95 different institutions. The mock-up exhibition which showcased the Intelligent Ward, Modular Integrated Operating Room and CSSD (Renosem) impressed everyone in attendance and feedback from participants confirmed the whole event to be a great success.
