It was an eye opening event at the Health IT Congress & Leadership Summit (HIMSS ASIA 2010) which was being held on 26 – 28 October 2010. Started on 26thOctober, Tuesday with exhibitors’ registration and preparation for the event, Infinity 21 (M) Sdn Bhd took part in this event which was being held in Korea as we see the coming trend of medical industry moving towards paper-free environment as well as the importance of IT usage among healthcare players.
The HIMSS Asia 10 was well known among Asia Pacific countries as it offers three purposely developed full-day symposia to provide clinicians, care providers, government personnel and leaders the opportunity to hear from experts in their fields on the most prominent issues in healthcare in Asia Pacific region.
Apart from that, the HIMSS Asia 10 exhibition is designed to connect leading health information and communication experts such as Microsoft and ALERT. The event consists of educational sessions, vendor exhibitions, new product launches, exchange of experiences and networking sessions, and other professional development opportunities.
Being the only Malaysia exhibitor in this event, it places a deep impression among the delegates along with speakers from Australia, UK, and USA. Our publication, Medical Supplies Annual Directory 2010 (MSAD) and Medical News magazine (November issue) received a good feedback as it features the latest directory in Malaysia market as well as the latest news on medical industry.
Though the event was being held in Korea, it was well marketed as there are other region visitors who visited the exhibition and took part in the event such as visitors from Turkey, Portugal, Australia, India, Singapore, and not to forget Malaysia. Delegates from Malaysia include representatives from Ministry of Health, National Heart Institute and also Pantai Holdings Berhad.
Representatives from Penang Adventist Hospital, Malaysia, have also visited this special exhibition and to our information, they are the first private hospital in Malaysia who has contracted with Alert Life Computing Sciences for its paper free software in dealing with Accident and Emergency department. This marked a good start in healthcare industry for Malaysia as the implementation will definitely helps in reducing medical errors and achieving higher satisfaction for both healthcare players and patients.
