HPB, RP launch innovation lab to drive health promotion

SINGAPORE: The Health Promotion Board (HPB) and Republic Polytechnic (RP) are working together to research, test and develop technologies to drive health promotion.

HPB and RP launched their Innovation Lab in Physical Activity at the polytechnic on Wednesday.

They hope to incubate promising solutions to address key public health concerns such as diabetes, obesity and healthy ageing, as well as solutions with commercial value in Singapore and the region.

Both sides also hope that their work will lead to significant reductions in research and development costs for small and medium enterprises which want to design and commercialise health applications and technologies.
