KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital unveiled its new multi-purpose vehicle to be used for its Home Nursing Services.
Hospital medical director Datuk Dr Fadzli Cheah Abdullah said the move was to meet the increasing healthcare needs of patients.
He added that mobile nursing services provided by the hospital included post natal care, baby care, medical and surgical cases such as change of gastro feeding tubes, wound care, bed bath, skin care and physiotherapy.
“We have made over 3,000 house calls, with maternity cases being the highest, since starting the service in 2002.
“The services are geared towards improving the quality of life of the sick, disabled and elderly, and facilitating patient rehabilitation and empowerment,” he said.
