US$1.2m Breakthrough Contract for Healthcare Business in Myanmar

Against strong competition from GE and Drager, JJ-Pun’s Healthcare Division was awarded a contract to supply 135 units of defibrillators and three emergency lung ventilators, Philips Medical Systems, and 25 units of blood bank refrigerators, Vest Frost/Denmark. JJ-Pun has become the first company to introduce Philips healthcare technology to the Myanmar market.
 
The total contract value is equivalent to US$1.2 million. The official signing of the contract was completed on April 2, 2013. Delivery to a variety of hospitals throughout the country will commence by mid 2013. The equipment will help save lives and improve patient care.
 
Having been formed less than a year ago, the Healthcare Division at JJ-Pun had embarked on a variety of activities aimed at establishing a presence in the market. This included securing appropriate partnerships with strong industry partners such as Philips Medical Systems, Convatec and eZono.
 
The successful team included Dr Ni Ni San, Business Development Manager at JJ-Pun and Mr Philipp Hoffmann, General Manager at JJ-Pun, alongside Mr R S Puru, Regional Director - Healthcare at Jebsen & Jessen Technology - Healthcare Division.
