Timesco have been awarded a £112,000 contract with the Central Manchester & Manchester Children’s University Hospitals NHS Trust to provide Optima CLX laryngoscope blades and Optima XL laryngoscope handles. 

The laryngoscope systems will be used within Theatres, Dental Day Centers, Eye Hospitals, Resus and Children’s Theatres within the Manchester Trust.

The Optima CLX reusable laryngoscope blade range has a removable core allowing the blade to be compatible with higher levels of disinfection, reducing the risks from residual blood, patient debris, secretions and potentially pathogenic organisms. 

The fibre core in Optima CLX is an average 4mm in diameter and therefore increases light output by over 25% lux. This increase in light output results in an enhanced view of laryngeal structures for the laryngoscopist.
