Malaysia To Host Asci 2015 With Rm3.55 Mln Economic Impact



KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysia has won the bid to host the 9th Congress of The Asian Society of Cardiovascular Imaging (ASCI) 2015 and the event from June 11-13 here, is expected to have an economic impact of RM3.55 million.

The successful bid was announced by the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) here today.

"Over 500 international delegates expected to attend the event organised for the first time in Malaysia by the National Heart Association of Malaysia (NHAM)," the MyCEB said in a statement today.

The NHAM is a professional association of medical doctors and allied health care professionals involved in the field of cardiology and was instrumental in bringing the ASCI 2015 to Malaysia.

Its vision is to reduce the burden of cardiovascular diseases in Malaysia and promote quality cardiovascular care through education and research.These initiatives are aimed at influencing healthcare policies in Malaysia.

The MyCEB also announced that Malaysia will host the 2014 World Youth Asian Stamp Exhibition from Dec 1-6 in Kuala Lumpur. The philatelic event which is projected to attract more than 20,000 attendees, is the world's largest.
