Sphere Conferences Launches Malaysia's Pioneering Patient-centred Learning Platform

Sphere Conferences, the conference arm of Singapore Press Holdings Ltd (SPH), announced the launch of the first Patient Care Malaysia conference, to be held from Aug 12-14, 2014 at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre in Selangor.

Patient Care Malaysia 2014 is an unrivalled platform for patient care professionals and key healthcare stakeholders in Malaysia to learn and discuss strategies leading to excellence in patient-centric healthcare, it said in a statement.

Sphere Conferences chairman Chua Wee Phong said: "With more foreigners coming to understand that Malaysia's healthcare offers good value services, the government has taken measures to encourage public and private hospitals to provide patient-centred care approaches to increase patients' satisfaction and enhance their experiences to attract foreign patients.

"The conference provides a perfect platform for patient care professionals to learn and exchange ideas to achieving greater excellence in Malaysia healthcare industry."

Patient Care Malaysia 2014 will be looking into the healthcare industry addressing challenges today and preparing for a sustainable future.

The key areas that will be covered include preparing Malaysia for world-class healthcare services, developing a patient-centred culture, cultivating leadership in nursing, future care delivery models, exploring potential healthcare technology, improving patient safety and quality and patient flow processes and efficiency models.

The two-day conference features 30 senior healthcare leaders as speakers and more than 100 senior healthcare professionals from across 20 major hospitals and medical centres in Malaysia.

The speakers will present insightful strategies for patient care efficient operations and information technology investments which will enable healthcare providers to achieve a balance between quality healthcare and patient satisfaction.
