The Selangor Health Department raided a company for marketing aphrodisiac and diet pills that allegedly contained life-threatening chemicals, China Press reported.
The company in Bandar Puteri, Puchong, was said to be selling the products costing over RM200 (S$75) each via direct-selling.
Users of the supplements apparently suffered side effects, with risks to men's lives and women experiencing frigidity.
The paper said that during the raid, a 50-year-old man, believed to be the proprietor, tried to stop the operation claiming he knew a certain Tan Sri.
The department has been monitoring the company's activities for a month before taking action last week, following complaints from customers.
