Hospital Sends Team To Run Mobile Clinic In Villages Affected By Floods

KPJ Damansara has successfully deployed its second humanitarian mission to help flood victims in the east coast.

A group of medical team members comprising doctors, pharmacists and nurses reached out to villagers and the orang asli who had limited access to medical facilities due to the flood damage.

It was a collaborative effort by several parties led by KPJ Damansara, KPJ Sentosa and Bank Muamalat personnel who operated from a mobile clinic.

They went to rural locations such as Pos Tohoi, Kuala Sungai, Kampong Stat and Pulau Setelu.

The first trip focused on helping the victims who were mostly elderly to return to their badly-damaged homes and distributed canned and dry food

This time, victims received a thorough health check up and medicine was also distributed.

In addition, members also assisted in cleaning up the affected areas including severely damaged homes and schools.

KPJ Damansara is planning more trips to the east coast to help the residents and orang asli recover from the disaster.
