Masterskill Plans To Run Nursing School In Saudi Arabia

PETALING JAYA - Masterskill Education Group Bhd (MEGB) has proposed forming a joint-venture (JV) vehicle with Crescent Point for Training Co Ltd (CPT) to develop and operate a nursing and allied health school in Saudi Arabia.

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, MEGB said it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Arabia-based education provider to establish a new company, in which MEGB would own up to a 40% stake and CPT not less than 60%.

The initial stage of the JV is to set up and run the nursing and allied health school with a capacity of 4,000 students. This capacity will be eventually extended to at least 12,000 students in either a single campus or multiple campuses.

MEGB will provide the software and related support services; curriculum and educational programmes; as well as the human resource and management support; and be involved in high-level decision-making on the construction of the campus in Saudi Arabia.

CPT will provide government relationship support and play a lead role in co-ordinating and liaising with the governmental, public or regulatory authorities of Saudi Arabia.
