Brandon Medical is one of only 25 companies selected to represent the UK at the European Business Awards 2010. Brandon was selected from 15,000 applicants for the ceremony held at London’s Canary Wharf. Other representatives at the awards include Admiral Group Plc, Bovis Land Lease and the quirky but successful British sports car manufacturer, Morgan.

The European Business Award is an independent programme designed to recognise and promote excellence, best practice and innovation in the European business community. Graeme Hall, Managing Director of Brandon Medical said “To be short listed for an award alongside companies with the stature of British Land, Admiral Group and ARM is a real privilege and a testimony to our innovation credentials”.

Brandon Medical was selected for pioneering its HD-LED and Symposia technologies. HD-LED is a technology employed in surgical lighting which is unique in offering full spectrum colour rendition, high light intensity and significantly reduced energy consumption. Brandon’s Symposia is revolutionising medical communication through the use of AV technology.

Selecting the country representatives was no easy task because the judges were extremely impressed by the high calibre of entrants. Brandon Medical have shown real innovation and commercial acumen to get this far and will now battle it out to scoop a prestigious Ruban d’Honneur. Brandon will now be judged against the best of all the European countries by a panel of economists, academics, business leaders, politicians and media owners and hope to become the top scoring company and win their category.
