JAOtech has been presented with the Start-Up of the Year Award at the British Engineering Excellence Awards, a prestigious programme that celebrates successful British engineering entrepreneurship. The award is the fifth in a year for the young Redhill-based company.

Presenting the award, Kate Bellingham noted that the judges were impressed by JAOtech’s dominance of its market, using innovative engineering to produce a world beating product, and establishing a global footprint with a US office and customer support centres in three continents.
Warren Kressinger-Dunn, CEO of JAOtech, commented, “The British Engineering Excellence Awards are one of the most prestigious awards of the engineering industry, and we are very proud to have been named Start-Up of the Year. This award is a tribute to the whole of the JAOtech team, who together have developed a world class product and successfully taken it to market.”
Now in its second year, the British Engineering Excellence Awards are not designed to celebrate the successes of a few, but demonstrate to all UK engineering companies that it is possible to succeed; that they can work to a high level and, at that high level, compete globally. Entries were scrutinised by a high level independent panel of judges chaired by David Kynaston, of Electronics KTN and companies that make it to the shortlist are indeed the best.
