
Three Singapore companies rank amongst the top recipients
Frost & Sullivan’s 2010 Growth, Innovation and Leadership Awards banquet was held alongside Global Entrepolis Summit (GES) today, at the St. Regis Hotel in Singapore. GES Singapore was declared open earlier in the day with the theme “Global Trends, Asian Insights."
The 2010 Frost & Sullivan Growth, Innovation & Leadership Awards banquet acknowledges and honors companies and individuals that have pushed the boundaries of excellence - rising above the competition and demonstrating outstanding performance across the Asia Pacific region.
Gracing the gala dinner and Award banquet as the guest of honor was Mr. Zainul Abidin Rasheed, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Singapore. His Excellency Dr. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister & Minister of Commerce from Kingdom of Cambodia gave the opening keynote address. In his address, he highlighted the strengths and opportunities in one of the most promising emerging economies of the region – Cambodia.
Following the ministerial keynote address, David Frigstad, Chairman, Frost & Sullivan presented the overview of Growth, Innovation and Leadership Awards program. In his overview, he cited, “The global marketplace is exiting the worst recession in a generation. It has been a very difficult time for many companies. However, firms which pulled the innovation lever and adapted their business models to the changing environment have proved to be successful and are poised for success in the building uptick. A company's dedication to innovation can become a key driver of overall performance.”
“During these months we have seen extraordinary companies and leaders achieving great success despite the economic challenges across all market sectors in our coverage. The companies that will be celebrated at GIL are sterling examples of how to win in the toughest of times. We believe their stories must be told as best practices to inspire other companies to accelerate their own growth,” David added.
Award nominees are identified for the excellence in Growth, Innovation & Leadership awards through market participant interviews, extensive primary and extensive secondary research. A team of Frost & Sullivan senior analysts evaluate the nominees on parameters comprising of social impact, overall market growth and penetration in their industry segment, profit margins, growth in market share, stock price over a period of time and overall industry impact.
The companies commended as award recipients are those that have significantly impacted the industry in the region through innovation, effectively implemented research programs, sustained consistency in research and innovation, demonstrated compelling leadership and inspired the industry with its leadership.
