Dräger as partner and systems supplier in the field of health management

Lübeck – Dräger presents a broad product portfolio and numerous new products for the healthcare market at the Arab Health tradeshow in Dubai held from January 24 - 27, 2011. On about 200 m2, Dräger will be represented at the leading international health tradeshow in the Middle East.

Core of this year's tradeshow is the presence of Dräger segment communication for hospitals and clinics. Under the motto "At your side in the hospital", Dräger showcases its range of products as the right partner and system provider in the field of health management. Among the presented items are medical devices for acute care, products for workplace design and supply units, as well as information management systems and visualization technology for everyday hospital applications.

The Dräger booth provides different areas for product presentations, for example, on visualization for intensive care and anaesthesiology or on neonatal care. Dräger introduces solution options to reduce the complexity of the information in the operating room and on intensive care units and to simplify workflows and provide help with the therapeutic decision-making process through new visualization possibilities.

The primary focus of the Dräger neonatal medicine devices is on gentle care. Fromincubators to ventilators to non-invasive measurement and treatment, Dräger provides a stress-minimized environment for newborns. Parents are not left out, either. With the Internet portal www.babyfirst.com, Dräger together with NICUniversity.org makes available a platform at the Arab Health tradeshow where parents, doctors, and nurses can share their experiences concerning the neonatal intensive care unit.

Middle East: Attractive growth market for medical technology

Over three decades ago, the first Arab Health tradeshow was held in the Emirate of Dubai on the Arabian Peninsula in the Persian Gulf. Dräger has been a part of the international health tradeshow with its own booth for almost as long. The demand for a sustainable health system in Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates has increased steadily in recent decades and offers a great growth potential in the future as well. It is estimated that the health expenditures of Gulf countries will increase consequently to US$ 60 billion by the year 2025 (Source: Life Science Nord Council).

The rising demand for integrated and comprehensive health solutions by a growing and aging population increasingly facing Western diseases promotes the economic attractiveness of this region for Dräger as a provider of medical technology.

Accompanying measures support the tradeshow presence

A microsite (www.draeger.com/arabhealth) as well as teasers on the Dräger homepages in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and in India will provide support for the tradeshow representation starting the middle of December 2010. Additional public relations activities in the and business media in the region and an ad in selected health care media in the Middle East create additional excitement.
