Agfa HealthCare collects two awards at the 6th annual Canadian Health Informatics awards gala

  • Corporate Citizenship award recognizes company’s contribution to health informatics industry in Ontario and throughout Canada.

 

 

Agfa HealthCare, a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT solutions, announces today that it won two Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) health awards at the recent gala and awards banquet in Toronto. The gala co-hosted by ITAC Health and Coach, Canada's Health Informatics Association, celebrates outstanding achievements and excellence in the Canadian Health Informatics industry, recognizing and honoring the contributions of individuals and companies in the efficient use of information technology to improve the health of all Canadians.


Agfa HealthCare's two awards were in the categories of:
Healthcare Transformation: Awarded to a healthcare company that has fundamentally transformed healthcare in Canada through the use of health informatics. Agfa HealthCare was nominated for this award by the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND) for the deployment of both computed radiography (CR) and IMPAX solutions throughout the DND network. The DND project has not only saved dollars but has dramatically improved the speed and quality of healthcare delivery to Canadian forces at home and overseas.

 

Corporate Citizenship: Awarded to healthcare ICT companies that are both committed to and passionate about health informatics and that have heavily invested in contributing to the industry in Canada. Winning this award recognizes all our hard work to make Ontario and Canada the best places to start, grow and succeed at building world-class IT companies.
