Hospital Kuala Lumpur eases its traffic flow

WITH reference to the article titled Lost patients ask for direction signs published in Streets on Oct 16, we appreciate the feedback that was given.

We are also equally concerned with the issues that had been raised.

Every step is being taken to improve the flow of the traffic in the hospital.

However, there are still some problems to sort out.

Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) is in the midst of ironing out these persistent issues.

HKL is a big hospital. Getting around the hospital is facilitated by shuttle service provided by HKL.

The shuttle service is available from 7am to 7pm, Mondays to Fridays with eight pick-up stops.

Referring to the issue raised regarding the signboards in HKL, it has been made known to us that the materials used and the pictograms are of international standard.

The signboards were designed in consideration of the speed limit within the hospital compound which is 30kph.

The size of the signage in HKL is meant for motorists and other road users using the inner roads in HKL.

We would like to express our gratitude for the concern expressed.

We will certainly strive to continually ease the burden of patients and visitors alike with regard to this matter.

We are also always improving our quality of care to our patients.

Dr Ding Lay Ming

Deputy Director (Medical) II
