With our new shareholders, Khazanah Nasional & Parkway Health, we have made substantial on-going changes to this well-established tertiary medical facility that is being strengthened further to emerge as a national and regional healthcare leader. Quality is one of the most important aspect that we look to ensure safety for our patients. We apply best standards into our daily care for patients.
GKL went for its first round of accreditation way back in year 2003. We recognize the importance of continuous improvement through the MSQH accreditation programme and as such we quickly implemented the new third edition MSQH standards for our 3rd cycle of survey on 4th to 6th August 2009.
We were elated when the award of a 3 full year’s accreditation by MSQH was announced effective from 7th August 2009 to 6 August 2012.
We celebrated our achievement in our hospital auditorium on 27th January 2010. The accreditation award ceremony was presented by Y.Bhg Dato’ Dr. Ravindran Jegasothy, MSQH Councilor & Surveyor.
Besides benefiting our patients, the process of accreditation improved our work environment. Each journey of this accreditation process strengthens the relationship between all of us at GKL. We work together to correct the past mistake and close all gaps to meet the standards requirements.
